Cheshire East Council have launched a public consultation on transport and parking issues. As well as informing the future direction of how to improve transport, walking and cycling, it will be an initial stage in further consultation on potential changes to parking provision and car parking changes. It looks at the role of parking in accessing town centres, the level of parking charges in Cheshire East and "scope for harmonisation", on-street parking restrictions and improving parking services.
Town councils and borough councillors will be consulted and there is opportunity for people to find our more and take part in consultations on the Cheshire East website using this link. This consultation ends on 31 January 2021.
Cheshire East is currently conducting a consultation on household waste recycling centres.
They currently run eight household waste recycling centres (HWRC) for use by residents. The contract for this operation ends in 2023 and therefore preparation for the procurement of a new contract is starting to take place. Residents are invited to have their say through the household waste recycling centre consultation. Final date for submissions is 4 January 2021. Click here to access the survey.

Good news for Alsager this week. In the 7 days to 21 November the rolling rate is below 200 (Alsager East 183, Alsager West 158), which is also below the average for England (209). Cheshire East as a whole is 165. Nevertheless, there have been 21 new cases in Alsager during this period, so we all still need to take care. See map here.
You will be aware that from Wednesday 2 December we are back in Tier 2. Click here to find details of the restrictions.
