Not much news this week.

New addition next to the Barratt Homes estate on Hassall Road – haven't noticed it before.
Unfortunately the Christmas market has been cancelled again this year, largely because Cheshire East would require a test and trace system which would be impossible with the 10,000 people who normally attend. The Christmas lights will still be up and it is hoped to have a best decorated house competition as they did last year.
The Alsager Gardens Association Vegetable and Home-craft Show is returning to the Civic this Saturday, opening at 2.00 pm with prizes announced from 3.30 pm.
Cranberry Lane has been closed owing to a major water leak which was so severe it lifted the pavement and several homes were without water for several hours. It is hoped that the road is open for the start of the new school term.
For the 7 days to 28 August:
Alsager East – 20 new cases, up 4, rolling rate 306
Alsager West – 19 new cases, same as last week, rolling rate 334
Cheshire East rolling rate is 301, England is 308.
