Interest groups are at the centre of U3A. Run by members, they provide a way of sharing interests, passing on knowledge and exploring new topics. All that is needed is enthusiasm, a desire to share and to learn. We hope you will find topics of interest in the groups below. If you have a subject that you would like to share with others then new groups are always welcome and help will be given if you want to set up a new group.
We have over 55 interest groups, keeping our members' physical and mental fitness in tip-top condition. And every one of these groups work on the same principle: run by the members, for the members. It's such a friendly and informal way of sharing interests, passing on knowledge and exploring new hobbies – it's no wonder, there are U3As set up all over the country!
If you wish to attend a group, the information and contact details can be found by pressing on the link within the individual group you are interested in, in the alphabetical list below.
NEW GROUP – Afternoon Walking Group
Is anyone interested in a monthly or fortnightly afternoon walking group. The walks would be mainly local but sometimes a short drive to an agreed start point. We would walk for approximately 4 miles starting at 2.00 pm and aiming to be finished around 5.00 pm.
