How to Join

Please be aware that all activities, including the Monday morning Help Desk, are suspended until further notice following Government advice on the coronavirus pandemic. The details below are to provide information about arrangements in normal times.

We are open on Monday mornings at 09:30 to 11:30 during term time at the Alsager Civic, where you can meet with members of our Help Desk who will be happy to enrol you. There is a map at the bottom of this page which shows the location.

The annual fee is currently £10. But if you join after September this is reduced to £5. If you join a Group there may be a fee to pay. This depends on the Group you join and if that Group meets at a venue for which we have to pay a charge. These charges are modest and the Leader of the Group will tell you of any charges that are involved.

Membership is open to anyone who is no longer in full time employment.

New Member Enrolments

New members can join at any time. Click here for a form. Complete the form and return it to the Help Desk at the Alsager Civic, which is open during term time on Mondays between 09:30 and 11:30. The Membership year is from January 1st.

Existing Member Re-Enrolment

Re-enrolment commences after the AGM for the following year and should be paid by the end of December. On-line re-enrolment is available and an email will be sent to you after the AGM. Or, if you prefer, click here for a form if you are an existing member and wish to renew your membership via the Help Desk.

The Annual Fee

For 2020 the fee is £10.00 for new and existing members. Members joining after September pay a reduced fee.

Course Fees and Group Event Fees

The paying of fees depends on the Group you join. Group Leaders will provide details of any fees to be paid. Alternatively contact the Help Desk at the Alsager Civic which is open during term time on Mondays between 09:30 and 11:30.

Outings and Holidays

The Outings Desk is open on Monday mornings during Term Time from 09:30 to 11:30. Outings and holidays are available to members. This is a very popular service and includes day trips and multi-day holidays. The day trips are organised by our members. We partner with Regent Travel who organise the multi-day holidays.
