CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN UPDATE – Tuesday 5th January 2021

Following the government announcement on Monday 4th January that England has now been placed in a full lockdown, this now means that for the foreseeable future all U3A activities, both indoor and outdoor, are suspended. For U3A activities taking place remotely, for example via email or Zoom, these may continue at the group leaders' discretion. The Committee will keep this guidance under regular review.

The coronavirus pandemic is impacting the lives of everyone. This includes your local Alsager U3A. Many of our members belong to the "at risk" category, therefore we are closely monitoring (and swiftly acting upon) any changes in government advice regarding social distancing.

The good news: although our group activities are suspended in line with the lockdown regulations, Alsager U3A is still open! We are offering a host of distance activities via Zoom and email (plus news updates) – keeping members safe, and keeping members connected.

There's never been a better time, to join Alsager U3A.
